Waterscapes (Grindavik) is a series of image transfers on canvas, that depict sulphur pools in a lava field in Grindavik, Southern Iceland and were inspired by the transformative impact and interaction of two systems, the hot molten liquid core of the earth, contained within a cool crust.
Around these sulphur pools and black volcanic rocks, heated water vents from the ground near lava flow, transforming the rich mineral content of the water, pushed to the surface from underground geological layers, creating its milky appearance.
